dancing shoes

They aren't exactly ballet slippers, but my new minty-green boots make me feel like dancing.

Until recently, I've been the kind of girl who admires nature from a safe distance. Creepy crawlies, squelchy mud underfoot, not a cafe in sight... the wilderness is not for me, I thought.

But now? The woods have invited me in, baptized me in a burbling brook, and claimed my heart. My feet have only stood at the forest's threshold yet, and now they are properly shod, they itch to venture further. It is a good thing to know how one can change, how someone can offer you the keys into a new world once you are willing to open the door.

So true...

Once you get used to the outdoors, look into potentially exploring the BWCAW of Northern MN... It's my favorite place... Well, it's a big thing, but going in there and leaving the world, is like being Louis and Clark.... :)
